Menu of Services

The ERICC Helpdesk is available to support you with a range of services including evidence-based technical support and research support.

Technical Support

Support related to technical aspects of programmatic work. Services within these categories concern the design, implementation, scaling, and evaluation of programmes.

Programme Analysis: evidence-based technical advice and analysis to inform programme decisions on design, implementation, and evaluation. This includes analysis of specific programmatic challenges as well as analysis of contextual factors affecting implementation of planned activities.

Services include:

Measurement & Metrics: technical advice on tool development or refinement of metrics and measures for programme monitoring, evaluation, and continuous learning.  This includes measures for outcomes as well as routine monitoring data that can help inform continuous improvement and course correction discussions.

Services include:

Costing & Value for Money (VFM) Work:  technical advice on how to apply cost-efficiency and cost-effectiveness in programme design, implementation, and evaluation. Cost analyses compare different intervention options and cost-per-outputs to assess which are the most scalable and best value for money, and cost efficiency studies analyse real costs and identify efficiencies.

Services include:

Impact Evaluation Advice: technical advice to help design and develop the tools and methodologies required for impact evaluations.

Research Support

Support for gathering, understanding, and/or integrating research or evidence for policy or programmatic work. Services within these categories offer support with primary research, secondary research analysis, research synthesis, and research capacity sharing.

Primary Research: conducting limited, short-term qualitative or quantitative studies to further understand context and challenges, including focus groups or phone surveys.

Services include:

Design and Development of Replication Studies: support for the design and development of replication studies in order to expand understanding and reliability of evidence.

Design, Adaptation, and Implementation Research: application of research to the design and development of programmes

Services include:

Small-scale Follow-up Studies: secondary analysis of existing data sets and findings from other research programmes and/or programme evaluations.

Evidence Review & Uptake: conduct evidence reviews, synthesis, and meta-analysis, as well as translate evidence for programme and policy guidance. This category of service draws on new ERICC-generated evidence from Component 1 as well as existing evidence.

Services include:

Research Capacity Sharing: training on research approaches, methodologies, and current research on specific themes within EiE.
